大池寺 Daichi-ji Temple

感想 Ｉmpression
山中を切り開いた薄暗いアプローチの路を曲がりながら歩いて往くと、突然視界が開け、寺院の南門に通じた一直線の舗石道が現われます。ここ大池寺は四周を山と満々と水を湛えた大きな貯水池に囲まれた静寂な禅刹です。
低い刈り込みで両側を縁取られた舗石道を直進して南門を入ると、美しい松が置かれた白砂の平庭が広がっている。平庭に敷かれた舗石道を右折して庫裏の玄関に到り、中に入って庫裏書院でしばし待たされてから案内して貰い、西に進んで廊下を右折して北へ向かうと、右手にある書院の東に波のようにうねるサツキの大刈り込みの蓬莱庭園が眼に飛び込んできました。
この鑑賞式庭園は江戸時代初期の17世紀の寛永時代に作庭されたと言われています。背景のサツキの二重刈り込みと左右の刈り込みは打ち寄せる大波を表現し、その前の白砂の水面上に小さく整形されたサツキを乗せた刈り込みは、宝を積んだ宝船が到着した姿を現しているという。訪れた時期が五月下旬という季節であったため、曲線を描いて柔らかく刈り込まれたサツキの表面を紅白の花が入り乱れて咲いている華麗な光景を運よく眺めることが出来ました。刈り込みという手法で植物をこれほど柔らかく美しいものであることを伝える作庭者の優れた造形感覚に感心するばかりです。
The scenery spreads out suddenly and the straight pavement stoue road which is well-informed about the gate of the south at the temple appears when turning at the route of the dim approach which opened to be in the mountains, but walking and going. Separate Daichi-ji temple is the silent Zen temple which was surrounded by the big reservior of water to be fully full around with the mountain by.
In both sides, in the bordered pavement stoue road, the low pruning is spreading a flat-garden on the loamy soil which a beautiful pine was put on when going straight on and entering in the South gate.
It guided the inside after turning right at the pavement stoue road which was laid on the flat-garden and leading to the vestibule in the kitchen of a temple, and going in and waiting for a while at the kitchen of a temple study and it got it. The garden where the pruning of the azalea which waves like the wave in the east of the study which is in the right hand spreads like the folding screen dived into the eyes when advancing towards the west, and turning right at the corridor and heading for the north.
It says that this appreciation type garden was done with the landscape in the Kanei times in the 17th century of the early stages of the Edo period. The double pruning of the azalea in the background and the pruning on either side express a washing billow and it says that the treasure ship which loaded a treasury shows the arriving appearance about the pruning which carried the azalea that plastic surgery was made the top of the surface of the water on the loamy soil in front of it small. Because the visited time was a season, the last ten days in May, the splendid scenery where the red and white flower is jumbled up and blooms could be by good fortune looked at in the surface of the azalea which was softly trimmed, drawing a curve. It only admires molding feeling about which the landscape person who tells to be beautiful one, being this much and being soft in the plant by the technique, the pruning, is excellent.
