Already, there is vast precincts in Kasuga-taisha when heading for the east, and passing through first torii and going ahead at the approach to Shrine in the Sanjo street in the Nara City town.Second torii tower when walking while seeing primeval forest in Kasugayama foot at the vicinity. Moreover, when going up the approach to Shrine, it leads to the main shrine which was painted vermilion. The light cage ranged closely at the both sides when turning right at the main shrine and going up the approach to Shrine with gentle inclination to South. The glory of the scenery, the east side stands in line to meet a mountainside, the light cage on the side of Seigai becomes two lines and stone with the size as it is possible to walk between is laid. The appearance to be bathed in the afternoon sun the evening by the standing close together light cage can shine on the solemn feelings when it is elegant and looking. The architecture wife surface of the roofing of cypress bark shingles roof that the line of the light cage let out eaves onto the stairs of wide stone in the continuing approach to Shrine back to the both sides can be seen.Enshrined and Wakamiya shrine architecture whole picture’s appearing in the main shrine in Tamagaki back on either side with the vermilion torii in the place to have gone up Sai-den and the kagura-den of the roofing of cypress bark shingles gable roof, and the crossing at right angles hall of worship, the low stairs in Shikiji on the scarcely wide loamy soil when going up the stone stairs paragraph.
Sai-den and the kagura-den which was directly put on the north-south and the crossing at right angles hall of worship seem to be one, leading with the same roofing of cypress bark shingles roof but the foot becomes separately separate equipment with a pavement stone road laid.As for the east side of Sai-den and the kagura-den, a attending door is splashed in the inner upper part in case of the horizontal piece of timber fullness and entering a low retaining wall and the top of it, a sacred straw rope resembles in the horizontal piece of timber going-along, and is turned round and it has an atmosphere having to do with somehow architecture representative of Heian period.Elegant taste drifts from the dynasty style interior that a bamboo blind is hung on the back with Sai-den being of primary concern about the inside and the wood floor being of primary concern about the tatami-floored, the kagura-den.As for the hall of worship which crosses, being right-angled, it seems that it assumes only a feature having to do with the aisle of the ferry of the main shrine to make by the openhearted structure the obeisance with the pillar except the horizontal piece of timber, the upper part Kokabe.Wakamiya shrine in Kasuga-taisha is enacted to the beautiful view which the light cage group which stands close together to the both sides at the approach to Shrine which heads for the south from the main shrine interweaves. One like the elevation was felt from the appearance which the hall of worship of the smooth roofing of cypress bark shingles, and Sai-den and the kagura-den cross straight from the main shrine which made the primeval forest of Kasugayama to be thick height.
