感想 Impression
Isuien Garden is the only garden which migrates in the pond of Nara City which was done with the landscape in the 1670s of the Edo period. Watered from Yoshiki river which flows in the south at Garden by the pond and Site’s consisting of pre- garden in the west side and rear garden in the east side long east and west.
When going in in the park via the vestibule, pre-garden’s pond spreads almost and there is bower ” Sanshu-tei ” of the thatch at the end in pond that west. Pre-garden has the atmosphere to make remember landscape in the reduction Edo period such as 2 corner Nakashima which occurs to the arrangement of a garden stone and the pond of the seawall at the pond in the front mainly in these Sanshu-tei and the stone bridge, the garden lantern which was arranged in the important position. It is in the park led to the nature and rear Garden when advanced at the alley according to the flow which runs from the west to the east. Then, the garden to have opened where the sight spreads at a breath spreads out and it is possible to enjoy the wonderful view which the mountains in Nara such as the majestic figure in Todai-ji Nandai-mon which finishes occurring of the pruning of the azalea in the east over there and far Mt.Wakakusa, Mt.Kasuga, Mt. Mikasa was introduced to as the shakkei. The landscape centered on the pond is the same as pre-garden, but the mountain at the rising lawn which is the over there ranges with the mountain of the distant view with Nakashima which occurs to the center of the pond which spreads to the garden to have opened and seems to be making a garden have a deep depth sense. Isuien Garden is maintained as the garden where it is possible to enjoy a flavor in the four seasons while it is in the environment which was surrounded to Todai-ji at the world’s cultural and natural heritage and keeps a view in Nara which is old at present, too.
